Dance Wisconsin, a Madison area pre-professional dance company, will present its 47th annual performance of The Nutcracker this holiday season on December 21st and 22nd at 2 p.m. in UW-Madison’s Wisconsin Union Theater. The shows will include over 100 performers ages seven through adult from southern/central Wisconsin, live music from the Dance Wisconsin orchestra, and the vocals of the Monona Grove High School Singers.

Meet us in downtown Madison on December 14 at the Madison Children’s Museum for a preview of “The Nutcracker” and JoJean Retrum’s “Plum” (based on the children’s book)! Learn more about the story of Clara and her Nutcracker and get a chance to meet the characters. Free and open to the public at 11:00am.

Stop by the Sun Prairie Public Library on November 26 for a sneak preview of dances from our upcoming production of “The Nutcracker” and see our artistic director’s (JoJean Retrum) ballet based on the children’s book “Plum”. The performance is 6:00pm and free and open to the public.

Meet us at Kendra Scott in Hilldale Mall from 3:00-6:00pm as you get your holiday shopping done! A portion of the purchases made during this time slot at Kendra Scott will go towards our non-profit, Dance Wisconsin.

Join us on November 13 from 5:30-7:00pm in Olin Park! Characters from “The Nutcracker” will greet you as you drive through this holiday favorite.
